Wild Flowers for Bees

My wild flowers are finally flowering. Emphasis on the 'wild'. A few other wild things in here too.

The bee hive is right above all this wilderness.

And here are the bees. Not millions of them though, this was a weak hive, sent to me to recover. Not sure how well I am doing at that though.

Beach Art from Found Objects

This amazing sculpture was on the dunes at Uretiti. It looks like its made from an upturned tree trunk that has been washed up, seaweed, shells, feathers and bits and pieces.

Camping in the Rain

There is no sort of camping that is bad, in my opinion. Well, maybe all jammed up with the neighbours wouldn't be great, but otherwise...

Even camping in the rain, which we did last weekend.

Isn't the beach just great in the rain? Those clouds!

Red sky at night, shepherds delight, right?

Zipped up tents, lovely and cosy. And perfect for resting, not much to be done but read that book and nap. A big excursion out to the cooker for a cup of tea. What could be better?

The Meaning of Life

All that work making paving and steps and flat things and hauling clay. And here it is. Happy people sitting around in the sun on a balmy day being, well...happy.

Lots of satisfying effort (and some just-plain-hard effort) and then some relaxation enjoying just being.

Flowering Thyme

Here it is, at last! A successful flowering creeping thyme plant. All the others are doing really well too.
